Mariadela Araujo és una artista tèxtil i dissenyadora de moda de Caracas que viu i treballa a Barcelona. Té un estil atrevit, abstracte i instintiu que parteix d’un estudi analític de la composició del color i en el qual no manca el toc del Carib. El seu treball ha canviat d’escala i l’artista se centra cada vegada més en les instal·lacions de gran format plenes de color. Ha executat diversos projectes en ciutats com Caracas, Roma i Hèlsinki i avui dia té el seu propi estudi a Barcelona, on combina l’ensenyament del tapís amb l’elaboració de peces, productes, instal·lacions i col·laboracions del món artístic.

Tiene un estilo atrevido, abstracto e instintivo que parte de un estudio analítico de la composición del color y en el cual no falta el toque caribeño. Su trabajo ha cambiado de escala y la artista se centra cada vez más en las instalaciones de gran formato llenas de color. Ha ejecutado diversos proyectos en ciudades como Caracas, Roma y Helsinki y hoy en día tiene su propio estudio en Barcelona, donde combina la enseñanza del tapiz con la elaboración de piezas, productos, instalaciones y colaboraciones del mundo artístico.

Mariadela Araujo is a textile artist and fashion designer from Caracas who lives and works in Barcelona. She has a bold, abstract and instinctive style that starts from an analytical study of the composition of color, all mixed with a Caribbean touch. Her work has changed in scale and the artist is focusing more and more on large format installations full of color. She has executed several projects in cities such as Caracas, Rome and Helsinki and nowadays she has her own studio in Barcelona, where she combines the teaching of the tapestry with the production of pieces, products, installations and collaborations related to the artistic world.
